Apple Legacy Contact allows a trusted person to request access to eligible Apple Account data after your death.
What to do
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Select Sign-In & Security, then Legacy Contact.
- Add a trusted person and store the access key safely.
Useful tip: Apple excludes some information, including Keychain passwords and certain licensed media.
Open Apple’s official guidance → Google Inactive Account Manager lets you decide when your account is considered inactive, who is contacted, what data may be shared and whether the account should later be deleted.

- Open your Google Account.
- Find Inactive Account Manager.
- Choose the inactivity period, trusted contacts and data-sharing options.
Useful tip: Review the contact details you nominate whenever a family member changes their phone number or email address.

Important: Social-platform policies can change, and inactive or policy-breaching accounts may be disabled or deleted. Download irreplaceable content rather than relying on a profile remaining online indefinitely.

Difficulty: EasyInstagram provides routes for memorialising or removing an account belonging to someone who has died.
Important: Do not treat a social profile as permanent storage. Platform rules, inactivity policies and account status can change.

Important: X says prolonged inactivity may lead to permanent removal. Preserve anything important outside the platform.
